PSEB Engineers’ Association express deep sorrow at the untimely demise of Er. P K Bansal, Chief Engineer/ HRD. Although words are poor comforters but all Engineers of PSEB share sincere and heart felt sympathy with the family in this hour of grief. May God give peace to the departed soul and solace to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.

PSEB Engineers' Association welcome the appointment of Er. H S Brar Member/D as Chairman PSEB. Association thank Hon'ble Chief Minister, Punjab for appointment of a technocrat as Chairman PSEB, which has been a long standing demand of the association.

PSEB Engineers’ Association in its letter to Chief Minister, Punjab has expressed its serious concern on the manner in which the power sector is being managed by the Board and the State Government.

The executive body of the PSEB Engineers’ Association unanimously re-elected Er. H. S. Bedi as President of the Association. Er. S. C. Chabba was elected as Senior Vice President and Er. Bhupinder Singh as General Secretary. Other office bearers elected are Er. K. S. Mann- Vice President, Er. Rakesh Gupta Secretary / Finance, Er. Gursharanjit Singh Organizing Secretary, Er. Jaswant Zafar-Secretary / Publication, Er. J. S. Suchu, Er. Harjinder Singh, Er. Anil Vij, Er. Sikandar Singh, Er. H. C. Kamboj and Er. Sanjeev Sood as Joint Secretaries.

Joint meeting of the outgoing and newly elected executive members would be held on 6.12.2008 at 11.00 AM at Engineers' Home. New team of office bearers would be elected by the executive members.

Er. H S Bedi, President PSEB Engineers’ Association has expressed gratitude to all the members of PSEB Engineers’ Association for their overwhelming response to elect new team of Association. A total of more than 1450 votes were polled at 24 polling stations, which is a whole time record in the history of the Association. The counting of the votes will be done on 24th November, 2008 and the results are likely to be declared in the evening. We hope all the engineers will participate whole heartedly in all the future activities of the association as well.
