CMD PSPCL AGREES TO EXAMINE THEIR DEMANDS THROUGH MUTUAL DIALOGUE
PSEBEA EXPRESSES GRATITUDE TO CM FOR SYMPATHETIC CONSIDERATION OF THEIR DEMANDS

Chandigarh, February 29-
Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today lauded the outstanding contribution of PSEB Engineers in making PSPCL and PSTCL as the country’s best power utilities.

Presiding over a meeting with the delegation of PSEB Engineers’ Association (PSEBEA) led by its President Er Baldev Singh Sran here at Chief Minister’s residence this afternoon, Mr. Badal assured the members of the association that their interests would be safeguarded at every cost. He also appreciated the Engineers’ Association for providing vital inputs in policy interventions, giving timely advice to the managements of PSPCL and PSTCL besides motivating the engineers to work cohesively in the larger public interest.

Responding to their demands, the Chief Minister directed the Secretary Power to hold detailed parleys with the representatives of PSEB Engineers’ Association for early resolution of their demands amicably to the mutual satisfaction of both the management and engineers. He also asked the Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) to examine all the demands raised by the association including grant of higher initial start to Assistant Engineers and excessive disciplinary cases etc., sympathetically so as to ensure their quick resolution through mutual dialogue.

Taking part in the deliberations, the CMD PSPCL agreed to get all their demands thoroughly examined at his personal level so that these could be resolved amicably to their satisfaction.

Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister for giving sympathetic hearing to their demands, the association assured him that they would work relentlessly to ensure far better efficiency in PSPCL and PSTCL so as to serve the various categories of consumers for the progress and prosperity of the state.
