Silver shield to Power Grid

The Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., Southern Region, has been awarded the Silver Shield, instituted by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, for its meritorious performance in the power sector for the year 2007-08.

Power Grid was connected with the early completion of power transmission project of 400 Kv Gooty-Raichur double circuit transmission line. S.K. Chaturvedi, CMD, Power Grid and S.K. Datta, General Manager incharge, Power Grid, Southern Region, received the award from the President of India.

This award has been introduced to encourage all the transmission utlities to strive for early completion of power transmission projects.
