Top level changes in Haryana Power utilities expected

With three top IAS officers going to the Centre on deputation, major changes are expected. As a result, power utilities in Haryana are expected to see major changes at top levels in coming days.

THE TOP bureaucracy of power department including Financial Commissioner (Power), Managing Directors of Haryana Vidhyut Prasaran Nigam and Uttar Haryana Vidhyut Bitran Nigam are going to have new incumbents as present officials are going to the Centre on deputation.

Share According to sources Madhudan Prasad Principal Secretary (PS) Power with the Haryana Government is tipped to be new Additional Secretary Commerce. Jyoti Arora MD HVPN will be the new Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power in place of Sudhir Kumar who has completed his extended tenure. A K Singh is tipped to be going to Agriculture Department.

Meanwhile, the Haryana government is all set to fill 4 vacant posts of Directors technical in power utilities. The likely candidates are 4 serving chief engineers of power utilities namely S K Sachdeva, NK Jain, R K Arora and R K Sehgal.

It may be mentioned that retirement of S K Sachdeva is due in December and N K Jain is to retire in June 2012. Power Engineers had been demanding filling of vacant posts of Director Technical for the last few months.
