THE HARYANA Power Engineers Association has called a general house meeting at Panipat on November 1 to elect the new executive committee. RS Dahiya president of Association said that the two nominations from each region have been received for the election of executive committee members. The voting will take place on November 1 to elect 15 members.
Dahiya said that engineers shall be discussing all the pending issues such as pay anomalies of engineers working in Discoms, restructuring of Discoms and service conditions of engineers. The representatives of All India Power Engineers Federation shall be attending the meeting. The appointment to the post of Directors in utilities shall be from serving engineers and upgradation of senior most chief engineers to Engineer in Chief is also hanging fire, Dahiya said.
Absence of leaders at leadership positions can affect performance of power infrastructure in the state. It's important that pending issues and appointments are taken up so that work
