Its matter of great pride that Association is doing tremendous job by looking into difficulties and concerns of its engineers.Yet more needs to be done on ground to scale new heights of glory.For example there is a feeling of discomfort and discontent among young AE/AEEs regarding their promotional benefits and step up of four increments in old scale of 9100-10350.As regards to their promotional avenues,there is dire need to go for creation of new posts of XENs And Above cadre taking into account the formation of TRANSCO and POWERCOM.Because what we have been followings is the old establishment guidelines of 1970s,rather work has increased manifolds due to large number of consumers beind added everyday and unimaginable increase in length of distribution/Transmission lines.On the contrary the staff has decreased drastically in downsizing exercises.What comes as double blow for AE/AEEs is the rationalisation/adjustments of Ex-cadre XENs posts when there was no need to do so in ordinary circumstances.Because at one point top-brass should not think that Only Thermal Plant engineers are the only who are skilled ones.What about the rest of engineers who have been posted in Protection/Hydel/Grids/Grid construction etc.Are they not skilled? Finally for better control and management go for split-ups of divisions/sub-divisions and other various areas of demand and need.
