Bullying is an abuse or misuse of power. Bullying is an act or a verbal comment that could mentally heart or isolate a person at workplace. It involves a pattern of behaviour that is intended to intimidate, offend, degrade or humiliate a particular person or a group of persons.

Here are some excuses given by bullies and their actions towards their victims:

“You made me angry. I lost my temper because of you.” Bullies never take little responsibility for their own behaviour and yell at victims.
“Your incompetence, stupidity warrants my rough treatment” Bullies humiliate, embarrass and ridicule their victims.
“How many times do I have to tell you?” Bullies are serial attackers and return their victims over again and again.
“Who’s boss- you or me” Bullies are arrogant in their belief that they are justified in their behaviour. This does not mean that only bosses are bullies. Our union leaders and staff attached with bosses could also be bullies.
Please note that bullies act on emotional agenda, not a rational one and their targets are often so demoralized that they think that the fault is their own.
