PSTCL gives award for best Grid Substations and Transmission lines

PATIALA : 220 KV sub-station Chhajli (Patiala) and 220 KV Mohali -Nalagarh double circuit transmission line were adjudged as the best in their categories by the selection committee of the Punjab State Transmission Corporation ltd. (PSTCL). The awards were presented by Principal Secretary Power, Venu Prasad on the Republic Day function held at Patiala.

The consolation prizes has been given to 220 KV sub-station Mohali and Passiana , 132 KV substation Ropar and Bhatinda under Patiala circle .Under best managed line runner up is 220 KV Wadala- Tibber line. The best managed grid -station and transmission line were presented memento along with cash prize of Rs.15000 and runner up has been given memento to and cash prize of Rs.7500.

Parveen Kumar Kataria Add. SE, Meharvan Singh Add. SE and Shiv Kumar Sharma AEE are amongst the best adjudged employees of corporation.
Charanjit Singh Chief Engineer P&M said that power transmission availability during 2015-16 is 99.9632% and PSTCL is amongst the top three transmission companies of India. Even in the current financial year the availability exceeds 99.5%.The achievements are more creditable as there is staff shortage to the tune of more than 50%.PSTCL management is expecting an award from the Ministry of Power. P&M organization won 13 awards out of total of 34 awards given on Republic Day
