Another extension to PSEB likely

As Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has spoken to the Union Power Minister on the phone, the Union government is expected to give another extension till May 31 for the unbundling of the PSEB.

Earlier extension expired on November 30 and since then the PSEB’s legal status had become untenable and owing to this the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory commission had refused to entertain the PSEB’s petition for tariff hike.
