Lehra Mohabatt thermal best run plant in state sector-CEA

Lehra Mohabatt thermal plant in Punjab continues to be the best run thermal plant in country under state sector.
As per Central Electricity Authority, s latest report Lehra Mohabatt thermal plant achieved plant load factor (PLF) of 101.5% for the month of March and is the only plant of state sector in country to achieve more than 100% PLF in March. It may be mentioned that total 9 thermal plants of country achieved more than 100% PLF.
According to Mansa Ram Parihar Lehra Mohabatt plant generated an all time high of 7621.262 million units for the year 2011-12.Last record of maximum generation was 7515.158 billion units in 2009-10.The auxiliary consumption of plant was also lowest at 7.87%.
CEA in its report claimed that country achieved an all time high monthly electricity generation of 77.10 billion units (BU) during the month of March, 2012. An all time high daily generation of 2.56 BU was achieved on 28th March 2012. The electricity generation during the financial year has been 876.43 BU.
The thermal generation during the financial year has been 708.45 BU with coal based thermal power stations generating 584.58 BU.
The capacity addition in March was 4815 MW, an all time monthly of 11th plan. Total 13 units were commissioned in March as per CEA report .The total capacity in country has now become 199627 MW at the end of March.
