Lehra Mohabatt achieves best quarterly generation since inception

The generation in the third quarter of financial year at Lehra Mohabatt Thermal Plant at 100.79 % plant load factor is the best since the inception of plant.

The generation in third quarter is 2050.57 million units (MU) against target of 1800 MU’s .The total generation in first nine months is 5594.535 MU’s which is 8.80% higher than generation in corresponding period last year .Moreover it is 10.11% higher than the CEA scheduled target.

According to official sources net auxiliary consumption has gone down to 7.52 % which is 3.19 % less than the corresponding period last year. Oil consumption has also been reduced by 36.31 % from 0.672 ml per unit to 0.428 ml/ unit.

The plant is expected to generate686 MU more than the target given by CEA for the financial year 2011-12.The backing down of units in summer due to heavy power purchase led to fall in genera tion to the tune of 359.77 MU.
