PSEB retires employees who were earlier given extension

Patiala: PSEB has retired all those employees and officers today who were given one year extension this year by Punjab Government after Punjab and Haryana Government struck down the order on March 29.

Punjab and Haryana High Court quashed the instructions of government but however, make it clear that this order will operate prospectively and will not affect the benefits already given under the said instructions. It is also made clear that the State will be at liberty to pass fresh order in accordance with law.

Since no fresh instructions has been issued by the government PSEB ordered today evening to retire all those employees who were working after attaining the age of 58 years .The controlling officers have been asked to ensure implementation of retirement orders by midnight today positively
